NewBridges IRC was present for Harrisonburg’s 17th International Festival held at Hillandale Park. In it you could find foods from all over the world: Ethiopia, Mexico, India, Thailand, Europe, Guatemala, Taiwan, etc. Our NewBridges stand offered all sorts of cookies from different regions of the world:
Jaime Miller our new Case Manager and Special Events Coordinator said:
“We have Rugelach cookies, which are tradionally Jewish; Mexican wedding cakes; brigadeiros which are a truffle-like cookie from Brazil, and many others!”
When asked about the event Jaime said:
“This has been great! There are people from the whole community out here sharing, hanging out and having a good time. We are all sharing our cultures. What more can we ask for?”
