NewBridges IRC has hosted the Mexican Consulate for a number of years.  For the past three years, this annual event has happened in the fall.  This year it happened on October 22 and 23 at Eastern Mennonite University.  650 people from the region were helped with documents and change of status registrations.  We are planning to host them again in the fall of 2012.

The Honduran Consulate came to Harrisonburg on November 19 and helped 120 people to register their children and obtain passports.  We are so grateful for their newly established collaboration and look forward to hosting them again in 2012!  Hosting Consulates would not be possible without the incredible support of our community.  And in particular, thanks to volunteers Theresa Ruggiero and David McDevitt for staying late to clean up Community Mennonite Church.
