Chris Hoover
Executive Director
Chris Hoover brings a background in non-profit leadership and community-based advocacy. She has worked to help prevent and end family homelessness as well as promote living wage employment in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. She is excited to support the work of New Bridges by applying her skills in development, community networking and staff support, helping our community address vulnerabilities in order to thrive together.

Staff Immigration Attorney & Immigration Legal Program Coordinator
Steve joined the NewBridges team in 2023 after nearly a decade in private immigration practice.
Ricardo M.
Case Manager & Volunteer Coordinator
Ricardo uses his life experience as a first generation immigrant to help clients as they acclimate to the area. His job includes helping people fill out applications for US passports, birth certificates, medical financial assistance, and providing general information, as well as translations and notarization of documents.
Helen J.
Office Manager and Development/Program Assistant
With a background in education, nonprofit, and customer service, Helen supports both the Immigration Legal and Resource Navigation Programs at NewBridges. She provides assistance behind the scenes for our programming and development events while engaging directly with clients and the Harrisonburg community.
